Fallout 76 has been plagued by controversy since its release in 2018. In this new season, Season 17, it not only proved its enduring popularity but also turned the tables and gained its “belated” love.
Although Fallout 76 has a large gamer community, a large part of the reason is that Amazon’s Fallout TV series has brought the game back to the public’s attention.
When Fallout 76 was first released, it was full of errors. For example, when pre-ordering, featuring promotional canvas bags were replaced by broken nylon counterparts, and the game style was contrary to the previous spirit. There were all kinds of dramatic things.
As expected, the gameplay was also criticized a lot. Bethesda was very sorry for this and silently endured the disappointment expressed by players. Fortunately, Fallout 76 is slowly getting rid of the embarrassment of its release and continues to deliver new content to players - expanding the game map, adding events, etc. Although it has not won everyone’s heart yet, it has been working hard.
From the dramatic beginning to the current slow victory, Fallout 76 can be said to have turned the situation around. Previously, it received criticism from the most loyal RPG purists, but Bethesda directly added interactive NPCs to the game, introduced more armor and weapons to increase its own RPG mechanism, and so far, it has been constantly adding fresh blood to the game.
As of now, Fallout 76 is roughly halfway through Bethesda’s five-year ongoing development plan announced in 2022, so besides all the latest updates for the game, there’s still more content to come for at least the next few years.
When new players first dip their toes into Fallout video games, it’s easy to see why Fallout 76 is the first game to go to for most people. Not only is it currently the top of the list of Fallout games, but it’s also the unique single-player, narrative-led open-world adventure that Fallout 76 offers.
That’s not to say that Fallout 76 doesn’t make the most of what it has - the upcoming Season 17 will introduce a new Scout theme and come with a range of camping-themed cosmetics. These Fallout 76 Items still uphold the humorous nature of Fallout. Season 17 is a testament to the game’s longevity and its true redemption in the eyes of fans, which is particularly impressive considering that many expected the game to die soon after its release.
The fact that Fallout 76 has made it to Season 17 is also a testament to the game’s longevity and its high status in the hearts of players. Especially when many people predicted it would die soon after its release. It survived for a long time.
Fallout 76’s ratings have actually been in free fall since its release, which reflects the current lack of interest in actual content among players and the fact that few games have succeeded in this form. Fortunately, Fallout 76’s ratings on various platforms are gradually rising. For example, the reviews on Steam are mostly positive.
I have just listed many efforts that Fallout 76 is making for its own nirvana. Although it has failed in the past, it also has a group of very loyal players. When Fallout 76 became the target of public criticism, they also felt confused, not knowing what to do next, and even not knowing whether their Fallout journey would end suddenly.
Fortunately, Fallout 76 Season 17 gave them a reassurance, allowing them to reunite from the previous scattered sand. Many loyal players said that Season 17 is more like a reward for their long-term persistence, and they are looking forward to what more fantastic or novel content Bethesda will bring them in the future.
Although I have just seen a lot of fresh changes in Fallout 76 Season 17, there are still a few players who think that there are some problems with Dangerous Pastimes in Season 17.
Dangerous Pastimes takes place in Thunder Mountain substation TM-03 in the newly released Skyline Valley region. This activity requires players to repair a very large lightning harvester - mainly relying on players to kill enemies to provide electricity, and finally players have to fight Hermit Crab boss.
This activity looks very challenging, but it is actually very boring. Mainly because the probability of enemies spawning in this place is very low, so that some players stand there doing nothing after the short harvester repair phase.
What makes it even more difficult for players to accept is that the rewards for this activity are also very small, and they can only get three Treasury Notes. Even if these enemies will drop some new crafting plans and unique weapons, players still feel that it is not proportional to the time cost they have spent.
Many players are waiting for Bethesda to come up with a suitable solution - the best solution is to adjust the enemy spawn rates and rewards of the activity.
Like those players, I am also looking forward to more vibrant content in Fallout 76 in the future. I wish you a happy exploration on Season 17!
With the exciting arrival of Fallout 76 Season 17 Skyline Valley, there’s a new area, a new main questline, and a new public event, Dangerous Pastimes, for players to enjoy.
Here, let’s talk about some things you should consider in the new season regarding Seasons System, and the most effective way to maximize your Season Rank.
To unlock the latest Season System, you now have to earn both ranks and tickets, so the obvious question is whether you’ve earned enough tickets to unlock Fallout 76 Items as you level up.
I counted the number of items on each page and categorized them by type, Fallout 1st specific plans and consumables, then general plans and consumables.
If you want to get all the items, you’ll need to pay an average of 190 tickets per page. So not consuming these items can save you at least a few hundred tickets. This is equivalent to 7 ranks per new page. But basically, you get enough tickets to redeem all the items on one page before you unlock the next page.
It seems like the developers have intentionally fine-tuned things to make sure you don’t run out of tickets. This applies from rank 1 to level 100, so within these levels, the new season plays out essentially the same as the old scoreboards. But once you get to the bonus pages, things change a lot.
In the old scoreboards, rank 100 gave you a lot of bonuses, much more than every level before it. It was meant to be a small reward for people who completed the scoreboard. The first bonus page in the new season system plays a similar role and gives you a lot of items. But now you have to pay for tickets to unlock them, and they’re very expensive.
If you add up the prices of all the items, it comes to 1250 tickets. Coincidentally, that’s exactly 50 levels.
So, guess what level you have to reach to unlock the second bonus page? Yep, level 150. So I have no doubt that this is intentional.
On average, it takes 5 ranks to get each item. But since you have now reached a rank 100, you lose score from experience. So you have to rely entirely on Daily and Weekly Challenges.
Now each rank costs 3500 score, which is 17500 score per item. Without using any Boosters or Fallout 1st, completing all six Daily Challenges will bring you 2500 score, and 8 Weekly Challenges will bring you 10,500 score. If you complete all challenges, you will get a total of 28,000 score per week. This means it will take you a little over six weeks to get all the items on the first bonus page.
The second bonus page contains consumables, which you can get repeatedly. Each consumable costs three ranks. But the problem is that you also need to unlock 95 items, which means you need to have Fallout 1st to access the second bonus page.
Most of the rewards are not worth getting through tickets, though, because you can get them through gold or playing games. The most desirable items are Score Boosters, which you can use in future seasons to speed up your score.
If you get this far, I recommend getting as many of them as you can. Carrying Boosters is pretty good if you’re constantly overloading. But for everything else, they’re easier to get through playing.
So you can see that the prices of tickets and items are carefully calculated to use the fear of missing out to encourage players to play longer. But the fear of missing out can only go so far. At a certain point, if you make the cost too high, you actually end up having the opposite effect because people simply give up on getting the items. That’s the problem with two bonus pages.
Before rank 100, you can get items without worrying too much about ticket costs. But once you try to get bonus items, ticket costs skyrocket.
Players who have already played rank 100+ with Scoreboard will continue to do so, so it won’t make a difference to them. But casual players will eventually get discouraged because you’ll have a long period where you get nothing unless you really plan ahead.
Six weeks from the first bonus page to get 10 items is too long. And the fact that you need Fallout 1st to get to the second bonus page, combined with the lackluster rewards, makes it hard to imagine anyone deliberately aiming for the second page.
Generally speaking, for casual players, it’s not worth it to try to get past 100 rank. This goes against what Season System is supposed to be trying to achieve. At the very least, the cost of bonus page tickets needs to be balanced, or the progression needs to be rebalanced to keep those casual players.
Another big change is that you can spend 1500 Atoms to access Fallout 1st exclusive items. Before this, you actually needed to subscribe to Fallout 1st every month. So is it worth it?
Scoreboard itself does give you 1000 Atoms, and Fallout 1st gives you another 1000 Atoms. So in theory, if you spend Atoms to unlock that feature, you'll end up 500 Atoms ahead. You also get a total of 25% score bonuses.
If you know you'll be playing the later pages regularly, it's worth unlocking Fallout 1st right away. The score boost alone means you'll get more ranks, and you'll end up with more Atoms than you started with.
For casual players, you'll need to unlock at least Page 11 to break even, and it's all free Atoms after that. So if you think you can make it that far, it's worth it.
So how should you approach the new Season Format? Here are some tips you need to know.
First, avoid redeeming items right before the end of the season so you know how many tickets you’ll have. This is especially important if you want to get items on the bonus page.
Obviously, every player will have some must-have items, and there’s nothing wrong with redeeming some. In my opinion, the new Cremator weapon is a must-have for this season, but for things like costumes and skins, you should hold off.
Second, focus on redeeming the most important items first. Everyone has different priorities, so what’s important to everyone is different. But getting the most valuable items first ensures you don’t run out of tickets.
Third, avoid acquiring any consumable items unless there’s nothing else to earn. The obvious exceptions are score boosts and atoms, which are always worth getting right away. But things like gold, nuclear keycards, legendary cores, and more, can all be earned by playing the game. Don’t spend tickets on them until you’re sure there’s nothing else to earn.
Fourth, spend Atoms to unlock Fallout 1st items, but only if you’ve played to at least Page 11, so that the extra score boost is worth it. Unfortunately, unlocking items requires tickets, and bonus items are expensive, which means you need to save up your tickets. There’s no easy way to get more tickets, so you need to make sure you don’t run out by the end of the season.
Regardless, I hope the strategies I shared help prevent people from finding themselves running out of tickets at the end of a season and missing out on items they wanted to get. Good luck!
New content in the game brings new experiences to players. The same is true for Fallout 76’s new map Skyline Valley. The official release date of Fallout 76’s new map Skyline Valley is June 12.
Fallout 76 Skyline Valley update expands the game map southward to the newly discovered region of the same name. This uncharted territory, nestled in the vast Appalachian Mountains, offers opportunities for exploration and unearthing long-held secrets. A never-ending thunderstorm rages overhead, hinting at a powerful and potentially unstable anomaly.
This guide will give you tips and tricks on some of the new content in the new map.
As we investigate the mysterious Vault 63, questions about the fate of the inhabitants and their current state are endless, and the quest takes a deeper turn. We’ll also discover a new type of horrible Ghoul called ‘ The Lost’ inside Vault. And, we’ll be able to play as a Ghoul.
One of the main bosses in this world will be robots, which means that anything that reduces your damage to robots or increases your damage to robots will be changed after this DLC is released. If you want to play more damage, Fallout 76 Bottle Caps can help you upgrade and have more equipment.
Cleaning up your Stash Space is a breeze. If you are a new player of Fallout, you can forget about this. But if you have been playing for a long time and have a habit of hoarding everything. You better check your weapons and armor to make sure you don’t have anything you will never use. For example, there is a 15 pound flamethrower, which you can only sell here in exchange for Legend Scripts.
However, you may have a bunch of such things that you don’t use, and you can put them in your Junk. Take a closer look, maybe you haven’t scrapped everything, and some of the unused things are really heavy.
If you have a bunch of extra junk that you don’t need, you can craft it and turn it into Bulk, just like Bulk Screws and Bulk Gears. Then you can sell it to traders in exchange for some caps if you are overloaded on junk.
Now is probably the best time to start moving your ammo from here to your actual character. Because I use things like Gatling, Plasma, which require Plasma cores, they take up a fair bit of weight, a pound each. Even 40 mm Grenade Rounds are pretty heavy for a missile if you’re only using that weapon, it’s going to be up to 200 pounds.
If you’re using shells of that weight and a heavy equipment build, then you’re just going to want to shift the overall weight from Junk to your ammo and even your armor. And if you put Deep Pocketed mods on your armor, it’ll give you 10 carry weight per piece.
If you use Deep Pocketed on more armor, you can carry more stuff, and the more you carry, the faster you’ll be in the game. This way you can avoid making fewer trips, sell less stuff, and make the experience more enjoyable.
If you have a backpack, you can carry more stuff. Standard Backpack gives you 30 carry weight at level 50. By the time you complete the Boy Scout quest, these backpacks will give you 60 carry weight.
Some foods will also increase your carry weight, like Grilled Rat Toad, which will increase your carry weight by 10 even after you’ve eaten it.
Legendary Scripts will probably be something you need again. You’ll want to start stocking up on them at the very beginning of the game so you can Mass Roll. From experience, if you just get them by doing daily quests, it’s usually not enough. But if you save a bunch of Scripts and do a bunch of Rolls, most of the time Rolls will be much better.
If you want to get a good character with a brand new weapon or gear and a brand new unique weapon build, you need to be as efficient as possible with Farm Legendary Scripts.
You’ll want to get enough Farm Sources before the new content is released. It’s much better to do it with friends when you’re playing this DLC. If you don’t want to be the one going to go get the wood or go mine Black Titanium to craft the recipes, prepare the resources ahead of time now, or before you play with friends and the story is finished. If you’re playing solo, you just do things at your own pace.
Another thing you’ll want to do when this DLC is released is to make a lot of ammo. Ammo is a very needed thing in this game. For 99% of the ammo in this game, you need Steeland and Gunpowder. If it’s Special Ammo, you might need something like Adhesive or Rubber, but Steeland and Gunpowder are better to be the main priority.
You need to know which Perk Cards can make your build special. When you are in the process of leveling up, check your legendary perks to make sure you have an Intelligence Card. If you are a new player or you just want to level up faster, Intelligence Card will give you more XP.
From some people who were granted early access, I heard that Rads will be more useful because enough areas are full of Ghouls. However, this will be very monotonous for players running Bloodied Builds. For players who don’t run Bloodied Builds, Rads is a great Perk, you won’t be spamming Radway and Rad-X every 4 seconds.
C.A.M.P. Budget is important for every player and may even be one of the main motivations for some players to play this game. There will be some new things added to Atom Shop in Skyline Valley, so it is very important to check your budget and see if you want to clear the space. You’d better plan in advance how to design and make to plan your budget reasonably.
People who use Power Armor have Fusion Cores, but you need all Flux to make Fusion Cores, or the Atom Shop actually sometimes sells Fusion Core Recharger which just charges your Fusion Cores, which you can get from here. But for those players who don’t plan to get it from Atom Shop, you can collect Flux from the dropped Nuke location, so when someone drops a Nuke somewhere on the map, there will usually be a bunch of flowers here to pick, which will give you all Flux you need to make Fusion Cores.
Through the above content, I believe you have learned about the new content of the game and some related tips. I hope that with more adequate preparation, you can enjoy the next game journey more!
Are you nearing the end of the main quest and starting Overseer’s Mission? The last part of this side quest requires you to fire a Nuke, firing Nukes can also trigger a boss fight that gives you unique rewards.
Completing Nuclear Silos can be quite lengthy, so that’s where this guide comes into play. In this guide, I’ll walk you through what you need to acquire, strategies on how to survive Nuclear Silos’ defenses, how to get through the silos normally, and finally I’ll show you what glitches you can exploit to run through the silos quickly.
Before you even think about setting foot in a silo, you’ll need to acquire a few essential Fallout 76 items: a Nuclear Keycard and a Nuclear Launch Code. You can get Nuclear Keycard by activating the mission at Enclave Bunker.
The second thing you’ll need is a Launch Code. Normally you should activate a quest to find Scorched Officers wandering around the map, take their codes, and then decrypt them to eventually get Launch Code.
The last thing is Nuclear Silo State Holotape. You don’t need this, but it’s good to have one because it tells you the state of Silo. They are sold by the vendor in the command bunker, right next to the room where you start Keycard quest. You should only use it when the silo is ready to launch. Of course, you must have discovered at least one silo.
Currently, there are two major ways to get through a silo, Brute Force or Stealth.
Usually, Brute Force involves using Power Armor and Heavy weapons. I use Overeaters Union Power Armor and Troubleshooter’s Explosive .50 Cal Machine Gun. It’s not the best choice, but I use that machine gun in silo all the time.
Some people choose to use Troubleshooter’s Power Armor just for the silo, but I don’t think it matters unless you want to face the entire silo at once. So basically just wearing Power Armor is enough.
It’s a good idea to equip all Damage Buffs and Power Armor specific perks. Even if it makes you overweight, it doesn’t matter since you won’t be doing much sprinting, anyway.
Almost every enemy uses energy weapons, so if you’re having trouble, Legendary perk to recharge your Fusion Cores is very useful. But it’s by no means critical.
Stealth requires using hard hitting silenced weapons, and not being detected. I use Silent Gauss Rifle, and of course all the perks that increase damage and protection.
You can use a Stealth suit, but in my experience it doesn’t prevent you from being detected, so your tactics are more important. You have to stay hidden, or at worst be cautious, and eliminate enemies one by one with Stealth state.
If you have three Hacker perks, then you have the option of manipulating Turrets. You can disable them all, so that only the bots are left to deal with. It’s easier to deal with them. You can make them hostile to everything, which means they even shoot at each other. Then you can sit back and eliminate the remaining enemies.
But sometimes these glitches and you can’t disable them afterwards. Therefore, disabling Turrets right away is probably the safest option. You can usually also choose to take control of one bot. They will usually die right away, but this way you have one less bot to deal with.
Now I’ll walk you through how to use a silo properly. There are a few stages to this, and I’ll cover each stage in a separate section. These Silos are pretty much the same, but you can occasionally get a silo with slightly different interiors.
The first stage is getting an ID Card and registering it. But before you open the door, there’s a terminal on your left. It allows you to command Turrets if you want. Then go to your right and read the instructions for the terminal.
We were lucky enough to find an old card right away, but the location is randomly set. It’s usually on tables, shelves, and other surfaces. I’ll go through the bunker and show you some locations where you can find them. Multiple cards will spawn, so you’ll almost certainly find one here. If you still can’t find one, be sure to check all the remaining side rooms.
Once you have the card, you’ll need to get your biometrics. You’ll have to use one of Biopods, and this is also the only time you’ll have to leave Power Armor. Then go back to the terminal and swipe the card. This will reset it. Now you can make your own cards.
The last step is to register it on the command console. It may take a little while to register, but you should be able to get through the laser grid.
There are two paths through this section. I recommend going through the storage, as there is a raider down the other path that will usually become hostile. If you have mutations, it’s a good idea to enable Starched Genes perk at this point.
There is a lot of radiation in the area ahead, so you should be prepared. There should be some hazmat suits in the locker to your left. This terminal allows you to power up radiation arches to clean up any radiation you’ve been exposed to. A small tip is that the robots will take damage when they pass through the arches, so you can also use this as a defensive measure.
It’s a good idea to use a Rad-X or RadShield in this area. You’ll need to shut down the reactors before you can repair them.
Once you’re done, you can either go back to the terminal and power up the reactor manually, or you can wait for the timer to run out. Restoring power will open a sealed door on the south side of the room. Going through the door on the left will take you back to the room in front of the radiation arches, where you can find hazmat suits. This terminal controls the turrets in the next section.
For some reason, this robot has a section underground. If you have explosive weapons, it’s enough to deal with it. The goal here is the mainframe modules to open the exit of this section.
One way to do this is to manually click on the cores and take them out. But you can also just shoot them. Using explosive weapons is ideal in this section. Just keep shooting until there are no more damage numbers.
This isn’t exactly the same mainframe, but now you have to repair the damaged mainframe to open the door to the launch room. It’s a good idea to clear out the initial group of robots and turrets. There’s a sentry bot hiding to the right of the entrance. It’s a good idea to shoot it before it sees you.
Now that it’s quieted down a bit, let’s go back to the beginning of this section. The location of the cores you need to pick up is random, but I’ll tell you where they tend to be found. Using a headlamp in a low-light area will help. These rooms are worth going to if you have the three Lock-picking perks. There’s at least one core and a security terminal here.
Finally, after all of this is done, it’s time to launch Nuke. There will usually be a bunch of turrets, but sometimes you’ll get a silo without any turrets.
The launch console is to the left of the entrance room and above the stairs. Starting the launch will create the first of five robots, and after a while you’ll get two more and finally the last two, for a total of five.
It’s a good idea to walk around the silo before starting the launch process and clearing out the first wave of robots and turrets. It’s important to note that the rooms for crafting launch controllers are located around the central room, and if they are destroyed, you’ll need to use the terminals to re-craft them.
If you see damaged controllers, you can use Friendly Fire perk to heal them. It’s much more convenient to fire Flamers multiple times than to find a specific terminal and recreate them.
That being said, you can still make progress with fewer controllers, so if you’re close to the end, you can wait.
You need to be especially wary of Assaultrons, though, one of which can take out multiple controllers before you notice. The number of enemies you encounter depends on how many players are in the launch control room.
There’s a bug that can happen here that stops the progress bar. Usually it tends to happen around 75% and if it does, there is nothing you can do. You have to leave, let the silo reset, and then try again from the beginning.
Once the launch progress is complete, you can access the launch controls. They are located below where the first launch controller is. Before doing anything, look for the code for your specific silo. Double check where you are to make sure you have the right code.
Then insert the card into the left slot. And enter the code on the right keypad. If you make a mistake, you will lose your Nuclear Keycard, so double check before entering the last digit.
Now you need to set your target, you can choose anywhere outside of the forest region. Usually, people tend to launch at Fissure Site Prime to start Scorchbeast Queen event. You just need to include that place in the nuke radius to trigger the event.
People tend to miss a few locations to the right of the fissure because that includes the spawn location for the event and people tend to fast travel to Bunker. At least you should leave one fast travel point available so that people can get to the event before it starts.
Other locations include Abandoned Mineshaft 2, to trigger Nuka-World on Tour boss fight. Then there’s Monongah Mine, which lets you start the boss fight with Earl.
It’s pretty complex, and for low-level players, it can be pretty hard to learn how to do things. You’re definitely not going to run it perfectly the first time you try a silo. But I still recommend trying it at least once so you can get a feel for how the designers intended it to work. After a few times, you should start using the available shortcuts.
Anyway, that’s all the info you need to know about successfully launching Nuke Silos. So get out there and launch some more nukes so you can get some Repair Kits you’ve never seen before!
Fallout 76 Skyline Valley is set to be released in a few days in June. It will be added as part of Expeditions: Atlantic City and will bring a lot of new content to the game, including some new weapons and armor. These new pieces of gear have some amazing properties that will enhance your gaming experience.
This guide will detail all the new Fallout 76 Items introduced in Fallout 76 Skyline Valley update. Come with me!
The first new weapon in the update is Ticket To Revenge, a Railway Rifle with twice the bullet capacity of the standard version. While the standard Railway Rifle is powerful, it is often hampered by its limited ammunition capacity. If you don’t have Quad effect equipped, it’s difficult to deal with maximum damage.
Railway Rifle with Ticket To Revenge changes this situation. It can hold 20 Spikes at a time with base damage of 223. Compared to the standard Railway Rifle, it can greatly reduce the frequency of reloading.
Ticket To Revenge’s legendary effects are V.A.T.S Enhanced, Lucky, and Bloodied. Bloodied will increase your damage as your character’s health decreases, while the V.A.T.S Enhanced will increase your chance of hitting the target. Lucky can help you maintain AP.
Overall, Ticket To Revenge is a pleasant alternative for players who want to try Bloodied builds but don’t need those expensive Bloodied weapons.
V63 Shock Baton is also relatively simple to obtain. You only need to complete Housekeeping for Higher quest. This melee weapon in Fallout 76 has powerful anti-armor properties and can also apply electric shock effects to enemies.
Besides Armor Penetration and 50% Limb Damage to enemies, V63 Shock Baton also has an AP cost of 30 and a medium swing speed.
Shattered Ground is an Automatic Assault Rifle in Fallout 76 that you can obtain by completing Double-Cross Wires quest. It not only has high damage and a fast rate of fire but also supports your own customization into a single-shot or Automatic Rifle.
If you want to have this weapon with Demolitionist perk, you can maximize the potential of this weapon. The most notable effects of Shattered Ground are Junkie’s, Explosive, and 90% Reduced Weight.
V63 Zweihander is an electrical two-handed weapon that you can obtain by completing Eye of Storm. Non-automatic two-handed weapons are not popular in Fallout 76 because of their limitations. However, V63 Zweihander is a special case, with powerful Power Attack Damage, Defender’s, and Executioner’s effects.
The advantage of this weapon is that it has a very high energy damage. With the right method, its damage will increase.
After talking about the new weapons in Fallout 76 Skyline Valley expansion, let’s take a look at the new armors.
Both the outfit and hat are crafted at an armor workbench after learning the respective plans called Vault 63 security outfit burnt and Plan: Vault 63 security helmet burnt, which are given as rewards for completing the event Dangerous Pastimes.
Crafted at an armor workbench after learning the respective plan called Plan: Lost burnt Vault jumpsuit, which is given as a reward for completing Calm Before quest .
You can pair this coat with a Lost Burnt Vault suit. However, note that the lab coat is different for female and male characters. The outfit also comes with an optional pair of scientist goggles.
Both the outfit and hat are crafted at an armor workbench after learning the respective plans called Plan: Cultist monarch outfit and Plan: Cultist monarch mask, which are given as rewards for completing Oldest Trick in Book quest. Also note that Alex Guerra is wearing a non-playable version, so don’t confuse them.
It is a one-piece suit designed to mold to the body shape of the user. It is made up of various biometric sensors integrated into the suit, connecting with the Vault’s system. The iconic yellow strip on the front is made of gold foil, not dyed material, and in the suit acts as a heat sink and antenna for the integrated biometric sensors.
There are still some unknown variables waiting for players to explore in this Fallout 76 Skyline Valley expansion. There is a lot of new content to look forward to in the update, and new players should not feel intimidated.
Besides some new items, the southern part of the map has been opened, allowing players to roam the rolling hills of Shenandoah. In addition, there are some new enemies, new NPCs, and recent activities waiting. Let us look forward to this update together!
I’ve been noticing a disturbing trend lately of getting big backpacks and the mods that improve them in a cumbersome and time-consuming way.
So in this guide, I want to show you how to get the plans for the backpack and the mods in the easiest way possible. And by that, I mean getting it by completing as few challenges as possible. I’m going to start with a new character so you can see that anyone can do it.
For this run, I’m going to use Commando Build, as it gives you some weapons you’ll need.
Our first step is to complete Order of the Tadpole. This quest naturally starts when you come across the poster at the train station, but you can bypass it by heading to Pioneer Scout Camp in Toxic Valley region.
The easiest route is to follow the road, around the north of Morgantown, past the dam, and then to the camp. Once there, talk to the robot. Now you’re on your way to becoming a true scout, but you need to complete four more quests.
The first mission we need to complete is Revive an Ally. The revive challenge is fairly easy if you know someone who can play with you, but for most people, the best way to do it is to participate in public events.
Luckily, Invaders from Beyond were going on at the time, as a lot of people died to Biometric Scanner.
Invasion is a little tough for new characters, but if you try to avoid the big hordes of aliens, you should be fine. But don’t try to kill the enemies, just tag them and move on to the next one. Let the person with Cremator take them out.
The same trick applies to big events like Eviction Notice, a lot of people tend to die in big events like this, and it seems that I was no exception. This was by far the hardest requirement, and I was lucky to complete it so easily.
Other events that are good for reviving players are Moonshine Jamboree and Eviction Notice, but you should participate in each event just in case. The key is that the more players are around, the greater the chance that you need to revive someone. Daily Ops are also good, especially those with Double Mutations.
Another lucky event happens near Pioneer Camp in Mire area. It usually takes some time to find the camp, so join a group. If you see players or their camps or tents in the area, fast travel there and discover at least one location in Mire. You can use events to fast travel to Mire in the same way.
Once you know at least one location in Mire, you can save time by fast travelling, though you have to pay for Bottle Caps.
Next, talking to the bot will start Stings and Things daily quest. By default, it will send you to a location that is guaranteed to have every insect, but it doesn’t matter where you get them from, the goal is to get insect parts.
I recommend attending Campfire Tales and Tea Time events every time they appear. They give you a lot of insects, so they are by far the easiest way to get insect parts.
You will definitely end up with a lot of Bloatflies and Bloodbugs, and most likely a few other insects you need as well. Keep these Fallout 76 Items in your stash until you need them to complete the daily quest. Remember not to put them in the scrap bin or you’ll damage them.
There will definitely be a Radroach in the storage room at Pioneer Camp in Mire. But it’s behind a hard lock, so you might not get it early. Another place you can get Radroaches is at Mama Dolce’s Food Processing, where Feed the People event takes place. If you get there early enough, you can pick up some Radroaches. But Radroaches are pretty common, so you can get enough Radroaches just by playing.
The best place to get Ticks is right behind the camp office. Stingwings can be found south of Whitespring. Also, Ranger Cabin behind Pioneer Scout Camp in Mire tends to have some insects, so it’s not a bad idea to check there every time you come here, too.
Another tip is that you can set up a camp or a tent at this location. You’ll come back at least once a day, so this will save you a lot of caps.
This objective involves cleaning up Nuclear Waste. This is another daily quest that sends you to a nearby location. You should clean up 5 blocks of Nuclear Waste. This time we were sent to Corporate, but you could also be sent to the ruins of the town in the south. This is fairly easy. The biggest problem is dealing with the enemies.
If you have a Hazmat Suit or Power Armor, you can reduce the radiation damage you take by doing this. Once you are done, return to Scout Camp and deposit the waste in the blue barrel.
Unfortunately, you also need to complete three Tadpole challenges. You can find them under Challenges Section and World Subsection. Any three will do, but I highly recommend taking on Archer, Athletics, and Hunter challenges. They are the easiest. If you want to get a bigger backpack as quickly as possible, the challenges I mentioned are what you want to do.
Another way to get Tadpole Badges is to do Operation Tidy and clean up Nuclear Waste. You can do this every day for a 25% chance of getting Tadpole Badges, but only if you haven’t completed the mission and become Opossum.
So if you really want something from Tadpole vendor, hold off on buying Opossum until you’ve got enough Tadpole Badges.
Overall, the quest is fairly straightforward. If you followed this guide, you should have met all the quest requirements. Now it’s time to become a Possum Scout.
You’ll get a backpack painted with the possum paint. This backpack has twice the capacity of the small backpack you’ve had so far. In addition, the quest will get you the plan and the paint.
You can recraft the backpack every 10 levels, up to level 50, to increase its capacity. The maximum carrying capacity is 60. Of course, this only applies outside of Power Armor.
When you wear Power Armor, the game removes all of your normal armor, so keep that in mind if you rely on the backpack to keep your load. But if you want Tadpole items, you can still complete other Tadpole challenges to get badges.
Becoming a Possum also gives you the ability to earn Possum Badges, and use them to get backpack mods and more.
In my opinion, the best mod is Backpack high capacity mod, which doubles your carry bonus. This will give you a total of 120 extra carry capacity. But Backpack refrigerated mod cuts the chance of food spoiling in half. I personally prefer Good with Salt perk, as it reduces spoilage by 90%, but backpack mods don’t stack with perks.
Of course, you can also get Grocer and Chemist mods for the backpack. They work exactly like the perk, reducing the weight of food and aid items by 90%.
You usually need to have at least a friendly reputation with raiders or the settlers, but the easiest way is to wait for Minerva to get it.
If you still want to gain a reputation with the faction, then do daily quests at their camps and Moonshine Jamboree and Eviction Notice events.
But the reason I don’t use these two mods is that they stop working in Power Armor, while the perk always works. They’re still good options for people who need to free up perks or never use Power Armor.
In summary, if you do these four things every day, you’ll get quite a few bags without having to do any heavy challenges. You’ll probably still get badges from playing the game, but it’s much easier to get badges from activities, especially if you want to get mods as quickly as possible.
It’s impossible to say how many days it will take to get enough badges to get the mods you want, but in terms of time actually spent on challenges, this way is much more efficient.
Eventually, you’ll get the upgrades you want, and you’ll also get more Legendary Cores, Treasury Notes, and Legendary items than if you just did challenges everywhere. So, this is by far the easiest way to get a big backpack and backpack mods to increase its capacity.
Hello everyone! Meat Week Event is here again! Since this event is only open for a limited period of time, the most important thing to make the most of it is to get as many unique rewards as possible. It is also a good option to grind XP and earn extra Scrip. This guide will go through everything you need to know about Meat Week Event.
Every 15 to 20 minutes, you will get a Primal Cuts event. You can start the event by hitting a drum in the center. This will attract a group of animals to you. They appear in four waves, and you must kill the marked prime animals.
Note that Butcher’s Bounty Perk Card does not seem to give you more prime meat, but it does help increase other types of meat.
The waves will gradually become stronger over time, and the event ends when you defeat all enemies, or when the timer runs out. Successfully completing the event will give you prime meat that you can use later.
Since meat will rot, having a Refrigerated Backpack Mod or Good with Salt Perk will help you preserve them for longer. If you rank high enough on the scorebaord, Cryofridge will also be helpful to you.
The events that take place in areas where the enemies are stronger seem to give you more prime meat, while Mire seems to be the place that gives you the most meat. So pick the one you want and start collecting meat. If you’re fast enough, you can participate in both events at the same time.
The other half of Meat Week is Grahm’s Meat-Cook Event, which is all about advancing the progress bar in the upper right corner. There are three stages marked with icons here, and if you don’t reach the first stage, you fail. But if you want to get more valuable Fallout 76 items, it is very necessary to reach the later stages as soon as possible. Here, I will list the things you can do to advance the event.
You can find drums and the spits on the high platforms on both sides of the centre roast pit. They are passive activities, just like playing an instrument during One Violent Night. The unique thing is that they allow you to advance the progress bar before it appears.
They still give you progress during the event, and if all spits or drums are in use, you will get a reward. But it’s important that you get progress before the event officially starts. So if you happen to get there early enough, make sure to use them.
The roast pit in the center has spits and pots where you can place prime meat and donate it in stacks of five. For example, if you have 12, you’ll need two batches of five, but you won’t need the last two.
Each Meat-Cook Event has a maximum of 15. Each stack you deposit gives you a bonus of about 15 minutes. Stacking one stack makes you no longer hungry, and if you get hit, you have a chance to damage enemies with farts. Stacking two stacks does the same thing, and you get a 15-point bonus to your maximum health. Stacking a third stack increases it to a 30-point health bonus and a 5% XP bonus.
You also get 5 Legendary Scrips per stack, so you can get an extra 15 Scrips for each event. This is an extra little bonus for attending a Primal Cuts event.
Another thing you can do is feed Chally the Moo-Moo. You may have to attend at least one Meat-Cook Event to get the recipe, but you can make the recipe with vegetables before the event and give it to Chally when the event starts. Make sure to do these as soon as the progress bar appears, so you don’t forget.
You can also collect animal chunks and greens. You’ll find small animals like Opossums, Squirrels, and Chickens behind the shed. Regional loot doesn’t work here, so you’ll have to collect chunks individually. Put them in the shopping cart in the shed to advance progress.
Next to it you can see the container for greens. Bring them back to get more progress. If you want, you can also put submit wood in the pile next to the cooking pot.
You can also get progress for the event by cleaning up rotting meat, manure piles, and putting out fires around. Such as the scorchbeast poop you saw in Line in the Sand event. Be sure to prioritize this because they can actually slow down your progress if you leave them behind.
After the event, you will receive rewards based on your performance. You can get XP, Caps, Legendary weapons or armor, Meat Week apparel, Treasury Notes, and Unique plans.
Besides that, there are quite a few plans for unique items and unique camp items, such as Meat Cleaver. This is a throwing weapon that does a ton of damage. If you haven’t tried throwing weapons yet, you might be surprised at how effective they are.
And of course, there’s Pepper Shaker, which is one of the major prizes of Meat Week Event. The only way to get this plan is through this event or by buying it from a player vendor. The chance of any single item dropping is about 1.6% per event.
So if you want everything, you should do as much Meat-Cook as you can. The event will last for about two weeks and will end on June 4, 2024, so you should have plenty of time to participate.
That’s it. Hopefully, this walkthrough made it a little easier for you. Good luck, and may RNG gods be with you.
Stash management poses a challenge in Fallout 76, but don't worry, you're not the only one facing this problem. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer to Appalachia, handling your stash can become a shared struggle for all players at some stage of their gaming experience. So I'm here today to provide a guide for those looking for tips on managing stash effectively.
However, it's important to note that your shop and displays will still count towards your stash weight. Now, let's jump into the tips for effective stash management.
Always scrap your junk items instead of storing them as they are. Scrapping junk not only provides you with valuable crafting materials but also reduces their weight significantly. Besides, it's best to avoid bulking your junk altogether and store them as individual components.
Be mindful of the weight of decorative items in your camp, such as teddy bears and other decorations. These Fallout 76 Items may seem insignificant individually but can add up quickly, affecting your overall stash weight. Consider minimizing decorative items, especially those with substantial weight, to optimize your storage space.
Fallout 1st members can access to the Scrapbox, a separate storage container specifically for storing crafting materials. Unlike the standard stash box, the Scrapbox has no weight limit, allowing you to store unlimited materials without worrying about inventory weight constraints. Consider taking advantage of this feature if you have a Fallout 1st membership.
If you're not a Fallout 1st member but have access to a trial period or promotional offer, consider utilizing it to grind and store materials in the Scrapbox. Materials stored in the Scrapbox during the trial period will remain accessible even after the trial ends, providing you with extended storage capabilities.
Here's a significant stash management tip that may not be relevant in the early stages of the game, but becomes crucial as you progress beyond Level 50: manage your consumables effectively. As you accumulate chems and food items, they can quickly fill up your stash. Consider crafting or cooking them into higher-tier versions or selling excess items to vendors.
Additionally, investing in perks that reduce the weight of chems and food can significantly alleviate stash space issues. By utilizing perks like the Traveling Pharmacy and Thru-hiker, you can drastically reduce the weight of these items while they're in your inventory. Traveling Pharmacy reduces chem weight by 90%, while Thru-hiker reduces food and drink weight by the same percentage.
Additionally, if you have a backpack with mods like the Grocer's Backpack, you can further reduce the weight of chems and food. However, remember that these reductions do not stack with the Chemist perks, so choose the combination that works best for your play style.
Another stash management tip is to avoid storing power armor pieces individually in your stash. By keeping power armor pieces on the chassis, you're essentially consolidating their weight into a single, manageable item. This not only saves space in your stash, but also makes it easier to transport and manage your power armor.
When you examine your power armor in your Pip-Boy, you'll notice that the weight of the entire power armor frame is relatively low, often around 10 lbs. However, if you remove individual pieces, such as the chest or limbs, you'll find that each piece weighs significantly more.
If you have multiple sets of power armor or collect various pieces, consider using an empty power armor chassis for storage. Even if you're not a Fallout 1st member and don't have access to the Scrapbox, you can still utilize this method to optimize your stash space.
Of course, if you're a Fallout 1st member, you can take advantage of the Survival Tent feature to quickly access your stored power armor chassis whenever needed. This provides added convenience, especially when there's no stash box nearby.
Managing ammo can be challenging, especially for players who tend to hoard everything. When enemies are defeated, it's tempting to collect all available ammo, just in case. However, this can lead to significant stash weight issues.
Being a Fallout 1st member has its perks, allowing unlimited ammo storage without weight constraints. However, for non-members, managing excess ammo becomes essential. I recommend only picking up ammo you'll use. Selling unused ammo to other players is an option, but it can burden your stash until sold.
A crucial point: avoid hoarding Mini Nukes and Missiles unless you frequently use weapons like the Fat Man or Missile Launcher. These items weigh considerably and often end up unused in your inventory. Selling them may prove challenging, as they're not in high demand.
Here's another essential tip: only keep weapons you actually use! It's tempting to collect every weapon you come across, but they take up a significant amount of space. Sell these unused weapons for scrap or script. Weapons are relatively easy to find unless they're god roll legendries, so there's no need to clutter your stash with unused ones.
To help you identify which weapons you use frequently, consider renaming them. Organize them based on their legendary effects or their primary use. For example, you can label them with the Legendary roll followed by an abbreviation. This not only keeps everything organized but also saves time when scrapping or trading items. Renaming your armor pieces can also be beneficial for quick identification.
Today I want to talk to you about Legendary Scrips, and more specifically how to start getting them. Legendary Scrip is an in-game currency that can be used to purchase legendary items from the vendor, Purveyor Murmrgh.
Many players will find when they start the game that as you level up, the enemies you encounter become stronger and harder to kill. This is because at this point the game starts assuming you have some scrip from the event. But many players don’t do this, so they experience a steep rise in the difficulty curve.
Once you have a suitable set of legendary weapons and armor, your character will be powerful. You’ll easily reach Legendary Exchange’s daily limit of 500 Scrips, and you’ll frequently discard a Fallout 76 Item or two because they’re not worth keeping.
So, how do you go from zero Legendary Scrips at the start of the game to having some scrips that can be used to obtain legendary weapons? In this guide, I’ll reveal to you a great way to farm these scrips.
The first step is to get a good legendary weapon. This has a tremendous impact on your ability to deal with tougher enemies. Lately, developers seem to be leaning toward adding guaranteed weapons to events. And many of them have almost ideal legendary effects by default. You can definitely take advantage of this and play these activities until you get some guaranteed quality weapons.
Ideally, you’ll want to be level 50 to get the best version, but there’s nothing wrong with getting lower-level versions to help you explore and complete quests. You can redo the event later to get the highest level version.
So which activities are the best? I highly recommend Most Wanted from Nuka Tour. It gives you Western Spirit Lever Action Rifle as one of two guaranteed weapons, which you can get starting at level 25. It’s great for everyday activities, so you can use it for exploration and quests.
It’s also economical enough that you’ll usually end up with 45 more round ammo after each battle than you used. You can use these extra bullets as a supplement to Elder’s Mark.
Elder’s Mark is a submachine gun with extremely high DPS that can be used in event or boss type battles and is available starting at level 15. Beasts of Burden event has a 20% chance of dropping it as one of the guaranteed weapon rewards.
Holy Fire is another guaranteed weapon you can get from the event. This is a Vampires Flamer that you get starting at level 30. Generally speaking, Flamer is a powerful weapon with a very high rate of fire. With Vampire’s Effect, you’ll be constantly healed.
Holy Fire is a weapon you should only use when you’re in trouble. This is not a weapon you should use all the time unless you know how to get ammo. These are not the only guaranteed weapons, nor are they suitable for everyone. For example, if you use melee, then they’re not very useful. But they should provide a good starting point for most players.
Most Wanted and Beasts of Burden typically attract large numbers of high-level players to kill, and the only thing you have to do is successfully complete the campaign. Even at lower levels, you should be able to obtain these weapons. Remember, don’t turn down other guaranteed weapons. Even Gunther’s Big Iron and Love Tap is very useful when you have no better options.
Once you have at least one good legendary weapon, you can actually participate in the event. You want to focus on the events that bring you the most Legendary Scrips.
I recommend Radiation Rumble as a significant activity to start with. It always attracts many high-level players, and since enemies tend to only come from two directions, it’s easy to get plenty of loot to distribute among you.
I completed my first mission at level 20 and had no idea what I was doing, but I still walked away with a fair amount of scrips.
As a low level player, you should focus on covering one tunnel and marking as many enemies as possible. Please avoid entering the corridor, as doing so will spawn an enemy in the center.
This is where a simple shotgun can help. Just aim and shoot. All you have to do is deal 1 point of damage to an enemy and let the game give you the full experience. This is called “tagging” in the community.
You still get loot from nearby, but you also get full XP from each enemy killed. Many players will also drop excess loot after the event, so you can pick that up if you want.
Eviction Notice is another major event in farming Legendary Scrips, although it’s more dangerous. When high-level players go for the kill, try to avoid getting killed.
You need to keep whatever is useful to you during the event. Anti Armor is always good and gets better later in the game. Aristocrats or Junkies will provide some of the highest damage boosts, and you can maintain them without too much trouble, although you may struggle to get the highest bonuses at lower levels. Bloody is powerful, but it’s only useful if you plan on playing with low health at some point.
Please note that the daily scrip limit is 500, so you may not redeem all the scrips you receive. You can put the rest into a stash or a public container so others can benefit.
One trick is that you can secure Power Armor into the frame. No matter how many pieces you have, the weight of the frame is 10, so if you keep some frames, you can keep a lot of Power Armor pieces for later use.
Next, you can exchange scrips for legendary modules at Rusty Pick. It is located north of Nuka Tour and south of Flatwoods. Then go to Workbenches and modify a piece of gear to add or re-roll its legendaries.
This is when things get tricky. Getting a right roll can be very expensive. Statistically, the chance of getting all three legendary stars you want is 0.04%. While this number isn’t entirely correct, the point is that it’s unlikely.
The best advice I can give is to think about what you want first. Weapons should be your first priority. If you use VATS, Railway Rifle is a good choice. A good flamer is also powerful. The benefit of choosing Elder’s Mark and Holy Fire is that you can re-roll their legendary properties without losing their inherent bonuses, such as a faster rate of fire.
It’s also important to have an everyday weapon that hits hard and generates extra ammo. You can pair it with a high DPS weapon that consumes the same ammo. If you do it right, you’ll never even need to craft ammo.
Now, you should know how to start climbing the legendary ladder. Getting your first good legendary item is the hardest step, but once you have excellent weapons, you should be able to participate in all events and earn more Legendary Scrips by playing.
Remember, getting God Roll is just a matter of luck, so keep participating in the event and keep rolling. But remember to be patient and don’t expect to get one overnight. Instead, you should enjoy the good stuff you encounter along the way. You might be surprised at how well some of them perform. Good luck!
