Discussions surrounding ARC Raiders have recently intensified, especially after the official confirmation that no major content updates will be released before Frozen Trail update in October, leading to a rapid spread of controversy regarding the update schedule.

The once-booming game is now experiencing a typical decline, with players shifting from intense engagement to observation or even leaving. Matchmaking experience, community activity, and the overall discussion atmosphere are all showing noticeable changes.

Against this backdrop, whether the game is declining and whether the development pace is deliberately extending its lifespan have become the two core voices in the player community, and this disagreement is gradually defining the current direction of public opinion regarding ARC Raiders.

Player Attrition

Not long ago, ARC Raiders was all the rage, captivating everyone. Whether professional or casual players, everyone loved the game. But the honeymoon period is over. Many active players have reached the level cap and feel there's nothing to do, well-known streamers have abandoned it, and perhaps your friends have switched games; the hype has completely faded.

While ARC Raiders itself may not have worsened, the loss of players has resulted in fewer matchmaking rooms and a more fragmented player base, which has undoubtedly altered the gaming experience for most players. While some of us still enjoy it, the number of online players has drastically decreased.

This is the life cycle of indie games. Almost all games experience played churn; it's common. However, the situation with ARC Raiders is particularly striking, leading many in the community claiming that Arc Raiders is dead.

Reasons for Delay

As a relatively new studio, ARC Raiders wasn't prepared for such tremendous success and couldn't handle the pressure of monthly updates. They believed that to create the long-term experience ARC Raiders aimed for, and to overcome player churn and the typical indie game lifecycle, more transformative updates were needed.

Therefore, ARC Raiders decided to release two major updates annually. Regular online updates, balance adjustments, bug fixes, store updates, and player events will continue as usual.

Furthermore, Europeans value vacations, and many companies allocate time for employees to take summer vacations. Embark adopted a similar measure. Therefore, they didn't have enough staff to maintain the current level of game updates. This inevitably brought many negative affects.

Negative Affects

In an era where most developers release new content monthly, extending the update cycle to six months so soon after launch makes me worry about the future of ARC Raiders. A game without substantial updates for six months will struggle to survive in today's fiercely competitive market; another blockbuster release might immediately overshadow it and cause players to forget about it.

Even though ARC Raiders officially promised new Frozen Trail update content in October, the content released so far has been lackluster, with many major issues needing to be addressed, especially cheating. Cheating is rampant in ARC Raiders right now.

When you enter a game of ARC Raiders, you have a 70% chance of encountering a cheater. Even if their account is banned, they can easily register a new account and continue cheating.

The most disappointing aspect is that Update 1.33.0 still hasn't fixed the item duplication bug. In fact, some players are now duplicating rare $1 and selling them on online platforms, severely disrupting ARC Raiders' economy and making the already rampant cheating game even more difficult.

ARC Raiders team has been banning numerous accounts involved in item duplication, but this hasn't solved the problem.

Undoubtedly, ARC Raiders is a fantastic and fun game, but some flaws have been exploited by players, and these flaws themselves haven't been addressed. This slow update pace has left many players with little confidence in the upcoming Frozen Trail update.

Positive Perspectives

On the other hand, many players aren't entirely pessimistic about ARC Raiders. They prefer longer development cycles for updates, even if it means waiting longer, because as long as the final content is solid and systematically improved, it could lead to higher-quality gameplay.

Regarding the anti-cheat issue, there are indeed two diametrically opposed interpretations within the community. Some believe that ARC Raiders is cracking down on cheating, hence the lack of public disclosure of technical details. Instead, they believe the company is continuously adjusting its detection and banning strategies in the background, leaving cheaters nowhere to hide.

While this anti-cheat method may not show immediate results to players, it's common in FPS game industry. This suggests that ARC Raiders hasn't ignored player demands.

In Update 1.33.0, ARC Raiders stated that most of the team is focused on building new maps to revitalize ARC, planning new upgrade paths, writing missions, testing weapons, and recording new instruments, aiming to deliver a truly exciting gaming experience this fall.

Furthermore, they have even more exciting content coming before Frozen Trail begins, which is certainly worth looking forward to.

Slowing down the update pace is a risky move for ARC Raiders. The key lies not only in updates after October but also in daily maintenance, which is crucial for retaining loyal players. If the development team can stabilize the game environment and suppress cheating in subsequent updates, the current period without updates will not have a devastating impact, and the new content will attract more players back.

Forza Horizon 6 Hidden Areas and Vehicle Bugs Guide: Secret Locations, Unfinished Content and Sound Glitches

Forza Horizon 6 features a series of interesting game glitches, most of which don't negatively impact the gameplay experience and instead add a bit of fun.

These glitches were discovered and shared by players in the community, including how to enter "forbidden zones", display errors in vehicle models, and abnormal sound effects.

Next, I will introduce these glitches and menus one by one.

Hidden Locations and Buildings

First, some glitches that allow you to bypass map boundaries in FH 6 and find hidden locations.

Hidden Garage

This glitch is located in Minka House in Edo region of the game. Here, you can experience a special "wall-penetrating" gameplay.

Specifically: You need to drive your vehicle to back of the garage of this house and then try to squeeze the car body into the gap between the wall and two water tanks. By repeatedly adjusting the angle and direction, you can make the vehicle slowly "slide" into garage.

Once you are inside, you will find that the walls inside the garage are semi-transparent; obviously, the developers didn't create a model for this area. Although there's nothing particularly special about it, process of finding this hidden spot is fun in itself.

Hidden Dinosaur Model

The next exploit is located in Yashiki House. In FH 6, Yashiki House is a special player property located in Hokkaido, which unlocks Estate Builder feature.

This feature is a major highlight of the game, allowing players to freely build various facilities on their land, including tracks, decorations, and more. Among the buildable items is a dedicated Dinosaurs category.

And then, something interesting happens. If you enter Customizable Garage interface and carefully observe behind a specific wall, you can see a hidden dinosaur head model. If you adjust view downwards, you can even see the dinosaur's complete body.

Is this dinosaur model a bug accidentally overlooked by the developers, or an Easter egg intentionally left for players to discover? There's no official explanation yet.

Other Hidden Areas

Besides the two locations mentioned above, there are several other places to explore in FH 6.

First, by using the same trick in the upper left corner of Tokyo area on the map, players can enter another blocked area. Here, you can observe the buildings in Tokyo area up close.

Secondly, near a water tank in Taiwan Port, you can enter a small hidden area using the same method. You can even have some simple interactions with NPCs in the area.

Thirdly, the last location is at Tokyo Station. You need to find a friend and have them drive a large or heavy vehicle while you drive a mini-car.

Park the mini-car against a wall in Tokyo Station, then have the large vehicle crash into it from behind. With enough impact, mini-car will "crash through" the wall and enter the back of Tokyo Station.

Vehicle Bugs

Another bug involves various display errors and sound effects related to the appearance of $1 in the game.

BMW M5 (1995)

First to be mentioned is 1995 BMW M5, which has appeared in Forza Horizon series since Forza Horizon 2.

A player recently discovered a strange phenomenon: when you select certain default colors for this car, the lower lip of the vehicle inexplicably turns blue. In previous Forza Horizon titles, its default color was light gray.

While this issue may seem minor, it's a noticeable visual flaw for aesthetically pleasing car enthusiasts.

However, this minor flaw didn't hinder the car's skyrocketing value in the game. In FH2, it cost 14,000 Credits, in FH5 it became 25,000 Credits, and in FH6, you might need 48,000 Credits to acquire it.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR

Other cars also had similar issues. Back in FH4, this car had a missing texture on the front bumpers.

In FH6, the problem became even more severe. Its mesh texture was ridiculously large, looking quite comical.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition

This special edition car, released to commemorate rally driver Tommi Makinen, had an even more ridiculous flaw. When some players installed Full Roll Cage on this car, they couldn't see Roll Cage model at all.

Interestingly, although Roll Cage wasn't displayed, you could see that A-pillar inside the car had been stripped of its trim, revealing the internal metal structure.

This was clearly due to a rendering failure in the game, but it created a unique and cool metallic visual effect.

Next, there's a strange issue with the car's sound. Some players discovered that this Lamborghini Aventador emits a very strange mechanical sound.

After analysis, this sound resembles the working sound of the original rear wing constantly raising and lowering while the car is in motion. However, the problem is that this car already has other body kits installed, so players shouldn't be able to hear this sound.

Players speculate that this is likely because the game's sound system incorrectly retained the audio triggering logic of the original rear wing, ignoring the fact that the player had replaced the body kit.

Given a common gameplay element in FC 26 - players intentionally foul to earn penalty kicks, then score with steal passes, which requires precise passes.Semi-assist is a mode between fully assisted and manual.

Manual offers complete control, but it makes steal passes and long passes difficult. Fully assisted makes passing quite easy; players can achieve long passes with a simple button press, but this limits the skillful maneuvers of experienced players.

Semi-assist strikes a good balance between these two issues. Players are guided to move in the direction of the pass, with the option to fine-tune the angle. This ensures players can easily complete passes while still allowing for creative and complex maneuvers.

Tactical Defending vs Advanced Defending

Advanced Defending is only suitable for players who are very skilled at defense. If you don't know when to defend, this setting will only cause you more trouble. This setting provides faster, more powerful shots by increasing power and reducing margin of error, making them harder for goalkeepers to save. It sounds great, but if you're a beginner or not good at creating chances in FIFA 26, don't enable this setting.

However, precisely because it provides greater shooting power, even a slight deviation in aim can result in the ball going in an unexpected place - perhaps not even touching the goal.However, if you're a seasoned player who doesn't panic and shoot recklessly, Precision Shooting will be your best scoring weapon.

Camera Setting

In regular gameplay, Tele Broadcast angle remains the mainstream choice and is favored by many professional players. It strikes a good balance between field of view and image clarity, allowing you to see forward runs, observe defensive gaps in the backfield, and clearly see the details of player movements.

Moreover, this perspective simulates a television broadcast of a football match, with a realistic sense of rhythm and space, providing players with an immersive experience.

Additionally, it's important to note that UT Competitive Camera only works on Ultimate Team stadiums. When you switch to another stadium, the camera will revert to your previous settings.

Suggestions for Tactics

Stay Flexible

With numerous players on the field, each with a unique style and background, don't expect to use the same tactics throughout the game. Furthermore, the game's main gameplay changes with each season, so mastering multiple strategies is essential.

Before each game, you should have at least two tactics planned based on your team composition. Deciding on the fly during the game is too late.

There are no inherently good or bad tactics, as one tactic might work for one lineup but not another. Flexibility is crucial for victory. The game rewards those with an open mind.

Maintain Asymmetry

Besides mastering as many tactics as possible for flexibility, maintaining asymmetry in the game is always effective. In virtual matches, all aspects of the game are displayed on a small screen, making it easy for opponents to predict your moves.

An asymmetrical tactical setup can confuse opponents, making it harder for them to anticipate your strategies. This tactic primarily involves creating a stretch on one side and a contraction on the other, achieving a certain offensive width and defensive depth.

Of course, even the best tactics need the right players to execute them. If you find your ideal players too expensive, you can accumulate $1 and try your luck in the transfer market to quickly strengthen key positions and put your tactics into practice.

FUT 26's asymmetrical tactics aren't simply about adjusting positioning; they involve creating structural advantages on both offense and defense through role allocation, formation tweaks, player commands, and shifts in mindset.

In general, correctly configuring FC 26 settings and tactics can significantly improve your gaming experience and competitive level. However, playing well isn't just about finding the perfect settings; it's also about understanding your own strengths and weaknesses, reading the game situation, and constantly fine-tuning accordingly. Players, experiment boldly, keep an open mind, and let the right configuration lead you to victory.

Skill Tree
