As you’d expect from this series, completing the main campaign of Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred is just the beginning. After completing Vessel Of Hatred’s story, you’ll unlock a ton of endgame activities to take part in, from open-world demon slaughter to challenging dungeon crawling, and everything in between.

Now, a month after the release of Vessel Of Hatred, the first expansion for Diablo 4, many of you have probably finished it. But this isn’t the end of the series, and completing the main campaign is just the first step in your exploration of this unique expansion. There are tons of endgame activities to take part in after you’ve finished Vessel Of Hatred.

However, with so many activities to do, it’s hard to know where to start without this guide. Here, we’ll show you what you can do to explore the rest of Vessel Of Hatred in your free time. But it’s important to note that the order in this guide is for reference only, and you can explore at your own pace.

1. Complete Deeds Of A Champion Quest

Once you complete the ultimate quest in the expansion, you’ll unlock the Deeds of a Champion epilogue quest, which is an overview of the game’s endgame activities. Through this quest, you’ll get an excellent overview of the key activities in Kurast Undercity, Tree of Whispers, Helltide, and Pit of Artificer. This very simple quest should only take you about 10-20 minutes to complete.

2. Grow As Many Aberrant Cinders As Possible In Helltide

Helltide is a major part of the endgame, both in the base game and in DLC. Every hour, a portion of the map will be covered in Helltide, so there are demons in these locations that can provide you with rich rewards.

Defeating these demons will drop a ton of Diablo 4 Gold and loot, as well as Aberrant Cinders, the most important currency to use while Helltide is active. Before Helltide ends, you can use them to open Tortured Gifts you find during your exploration.

It is important to note that your Aberrant Cinders will not follow you into the next Helltide area, so you need to spend them while the current Helltide is active. In Tortured Gifts, you may get some wonderful rewards, such as experience points, some Legendary aspects or Uniques.

If you want a helper to explore Helltide, you can first use Baneful Hearts to summon Blood Maiden and then defeat it. It will drop a lot of Aberrant Cinders and other loot that is very useful for your build, so that you can better explore the subsequent content.

3. Explore Kurast Undercity In Depth

It is worth mentioning here that Kurast Undercity is a new endgame activity introduced in Diablo 4 Vessel Of Hatred, which provides you with a lot of content to explore. Deeds of a Champion quest mentioned earlier will guide you to unlock this new activity.

There are three floors in this Kurast Undercity for you to explore, and the first two floors need to be completed within a limited time. As you kill monsters on these two floors or clear Braziers around the dungeon, your Attunement attribute will rise, making it easier for you to challenge the enemies on the third floor. Most importantly, these operations can increase the chances of the bosses on the third floor dropping some excellent loot.

So, Kurast Undercity is a good way for you to farm some ultimate equipment in the early stage, but be careful not to spend all your energy and time here, because there will be more profitable ways later.

4. Challenge Infernal Hordes

Infernal Hordes is an endgame event where waves of enemies attack you. You will have a very difficult combat phase, but the loot you are rewarded with at the end of the run will allow you to ignore those difficulties completely.

However, it should be noted that before entering Infernal Hordes, you need to obtain Infernal Compass, which you can craft at Occultist, or you can collect it in endgame events such as Nightmare Dungeons or Helltide.

You can modify the difficulty of each wave of Infernal Hordes through different modifiers. The greater the difficulty, the better the loot you will get at the end, and the more Aether you will get. Although this is a good way to increase your Paragon level, you need to be reminded that you need to modify it within the tolerance range of your build, otherwise it will not be worth it.

The above is what you can do after completing Diablo 4 Vessel Of Hatred. As the first expansion of D4, Vessel Of Hatred still has a lot of interesting exploration content waiting for you. If you encounter some problems during the exploration of the above activities, you are welcome to ask questions and find answers in IGGM Discord. If you are lucky enough, you can even get some very precious Gold or items in it. I wish you a happy game!
