Don't Just Stack Health to Survive | The Most Effective Survival Methods in Diablo 4 Season 12
Have you ever encountered this situation in Diablo 4 Season 12: you have high health, survived until Torment 4, but were still instantly killed by boss? Survival isn't just about blindly stacking health. This guide will tell you detailed and efficient survival methods in Diablo 4 Season 12.
In the game, some mechanics exist specifically to allow bosses to instantly kill you. Of course, you could stack a lot of health to tank Lilith's blood waves or certain boss skills. However, this sacrifices a lot of damage output, which is not worthwhile. A more reasonable approach is to learn to dodge or develop specific strategies for different bosses.
Killing is also a form of defense. Quickly killing a boss can bypass its instant-kill mechanics, which is another survival strategy.
Additionally, starting from Season 11, monsters trigger high-damage explosions upon death, and standing in the explosion can easily result in instant death. While you can tank it, it's best to develop the habit of avoiding it.
Primary Defensive Stats Life PointsTo survive in Torment 4, you need at least 10,000 life points. These can be obtained from your helmet, chest armor, boots, weapon, rings, or pants. For gloves, offensive stats are a good choice.
You can get bonuses from Paragon Board; generally, the effect depends on your life points. The higher your life points, the more significant the effect.
ArmorArmor is crucial. Currently, it's recommended to stack around 15,000 armor points. This is our primary survival consideration; it's even more important than your resistances. The best gear to acquire armor from is still helmets, chest armor, and boots. If your class is strength-based, such as Paladin, you'll automatically gain armor, making you much tougher.
Resistances3000-4000 resistances are recommended, providing approximately 75% Damage Reduction. However, singular resistances are relatively weak; prioritize all resistances.
If a specific boss inflicts poison or other damage, you can choose to use diamonds to increase all resistances. For strength classes, consider using skeletons to increase physical resistance.
RecoveryCurrently, the most effective recovery is Life on Hit.
The stat that restores health every five seconds is basically useless. Many players feel they've been one-shotted, but often it's because they took several hits in quick succession without having time to use a potion. Life on Hit allows you to heal while attacking, significantly reducing the frequency of potion use.
Barrier and FortificationBarrier and Fortification are two different types of extra health bars.
Barriers act like temporary shields; they consume Barrier first, then health. Sorcerers easily generate barriers, so they don't need 10,000 health to survive.
Fortification was completely reworked in Season 12. The current mechanism is that Fortification stacks on top of your health, but it doesn't disappear immediately when you're hit. Fortification is only automatically consumed to replenish health when your health is actually damaged.
It acts as a buffer, smoothing out your health bar, making you less prone to sudden death, and improving game smoothness. Paladin has many easy ways to gain Fortification, which is one of the reasons this class is particularly tanky.
Damage ReductionDamage Reduction is considered a high-level stat, not easily achieved. It's rare and extremely powerful.
It primarily appears in Mythics, Uniques, certain skills, and runes. It's crucial to understand that Damage Reduction is calculated using inverse multiplication, so you can never reach 100% reduction. Furthermore, a 50% Damage Reduction source is far stronger than two 35% Damage Reduction sources combined.
Additionally, the damage sheet displayed in the game isn't entirely accurate; many actual effective Damage Reductions won't be shown. It's best not to rely solely on it.
Cooldown Reduction and Movement SpeedIn fact, Cooldown Reduction and Movement Speed can also be your defensive stats.
Some abilities inherently provide Damage Reduction; if you can keep their cooldowns low, you can maintain this reduction almost continuously. Sufficient movement speed will help you quickly escape the blast radius on the ground, indirectly avoiding being hit. So don't just focus on health and armor; Cooldown and movement speed are equally important.
The Fastest Way to Improve SurvivabilityIf you think you won't have all $1 in a while, runes are the quickest way to improve your survivability.
Using QUE rune with an ability that triggers Barrier is equivalent to having an extra temporary health bar.
Using MOT rune provides your Dark Shroud with 40% Damage Reduction, currently the strongest single-hit Damage Reduction source.
Using VEX can increase the level of all abilities; if some abilities inherently provide Damage Reduction, this indirectly improves survivability.
You can use two rune sets simultaneously, one for Barrier and one for high Damage Reduction, making you extremely difficult to kill.
Many players complain about constantly getting one-shotted despite having 20,000 health. The reason is that they only focused on health, neglecting Damage Reduction, resistances, and armor. 10,000 health with good Damage Reduction provides far greater survivability than a character with 20,000 health but no Damage Reduction.
Furthermore, recovery ability is crucial; lacking any of these can lead to being taken down by continuous damage. Finally, don't forget that Paladin's Consecration skill provides a weakness effect, reducing damage from normal enemies by 20%.
So, these are the most effective survival methods in Diablo 4 Season 12. Hope you have a smooth game!

How to Feed Scrappy Different Fruits in ARC Raiders to Get Different Items? | The Player's Best Companion
Scrappy, a great companion for players, has always played a significant role in the game. Recently, I fed Scrappy a lot of fruit and thoroughly figured out how its new feeding system works. Scrappy has now become an extremely efficient looter; you can even get quite a few powerful items from it.
Below is a detailed explanation of Scrappy feeding mechanism, the corresponding $1 for various fruits, the most worthwhile fruits to feed, and the locations where various fruits can be obtained.
Scrappy Feeding MechanismThe new feeding function allows you to add fruit to the food queue. You can select any fruit from your inventory and add it to the queue; Scrappy will automatically eat it when you enter a raid.
As long as you enter a raid and stay for at least 6 minutes, the fruit at the top of the queue will be eaten, and you will always get a random item of the corresponding type.
Whether you successfully extract or die, the reward will always trigger as long as you stay for 6 minutes.
Once the fruit is placed in the queue, it doesn't need to be added repeatedly for the next five rounds; the system will automatically consume it sequentially.
You just need to play the game normally and then come back to collect the items found by Scrappy.
Of course, all of this is random. Each type of fruit has a fixed drop rate for items. It's worth noting that, based on my current testing experience, extending the raid time doesn't help increase the drop rate.
It's best to level up Scrappy first to maximize item acquisition efficiency.
Below are the items and resources needed to upgrade Scrappy.
Level 1: None Level 2: 1x Dog Collar Level 3: 3x Lemons, 3x Apricots Level 4: 1x Cat Bed, 6x Prickly Pears, 6x Olives, Level 5 (Max): 3x Very Comfortable Pillows, 12x Mushrooms, 12x Apricots Rewards for Each FruitDifferent fruits correspond to different workshop station materials. They don't drop basic materials; instead, they directly produce advanced materials and even finished products. The rewards for each fruit are detailed below.
OlivesSpecifically used in Medical Workshop. They yield medical crafting materials or finished products, such as Durable Cloth, Antiseptic, Great Mullein, ARC Powercell, Tick Pod, etc. They do not provide basic materials like Fabric, Rubber Parts, or Plastic Parts.
MushroomsRelated to Gear Bench items; they can even directly yield finished equipment. Many players have already obtained rare equipment like Safekeeper from Mushrooms.
ApricotsThese yield Gunsmith crafting materials, and with luck, you can directly obtain weapons, including key items for crafting legendary weapons like Queen Reactor and Matriarch Reactor.
LemonsUsed in Explosives Station, primarily producing Explosives materials such as ARC Alloy, Crude Explosives, Battery, and Explosive Compound. With luck, you can also obtain powerful throwables like Wolfpack and Deadline.
Prickly PearsUsed in Utility Station, these can yield Mechanical Components, Ropes, Sensors, and even useful finished items like Photoelectric Cloak and Snap Hook.
AgavesSpecifically produce crafting materials for gun mods and accessories, including the Silencer 3, Kinetic Converter, and Horizontal Grip. Some mods don't even have Blueprints in the game yet can still be obtained from Scrappy, making them extremely valuable.
Fruit MixCan only be crafted in-game. The recipe is 1 Lemon + 1 Apricot + 1 Prickly Pear.
While it's supposed to be three fruits for one, this time it's a little different. Scrappy usually gives one fruit for one item, but this time the fruit combination usually gives you two items. And these items can be various ground materials.
In addition to random items, each fruit also provides 5 corresponding basic materials:
Olives Fabric Mushrooms Plastic Parts Prickly Pears Rubber Parts Fruit Mix gives 5 each of Seeds, Plastic Parts, Metal Parts, Chemicals, Fabric, and Rubber PartsThis is one of the reasons why Fruit Mix is so cost-effective.
Most recommended fruits AgaveCan yield rare items that cannot be crafted in-game, such as the Kinetic Converter and Horizontal Grip. With maximum strength and rarity, it's the best choice for feeding to.
ApricotsStablely produce high-grade Gunsmith materials and even legendary weapon core components, suitable for players seeking powerful weapons.
Prickly Pears are suitable for players lacking Utility items, Lemons are suitable for players who need Explosives, and Mushrooms are more gear-oriented.
Locations for Various Fruits Fruit Baskets: The most stable and efficient source; two baskets always spawn at Stella Montis Cafeteria. Agaves: Primarily spawn in the area around Buried City, and can also be obtained from Fruit Baskets. Apricots, Lemons: Densely wooded areas in Damn Batvely at The Blue Gate. Prickly Pears: Pattern House and the outskirts of Buried City. Mushrooms: Spaceport is currently the best spawn point. To quickly obtain fruit, prioritize Fruit Baskets; the efficiency is far higher than gathering them individually. These are the new features for feeding Scrappy fruits. Go test them out in the game!
Don't Get Melted! The Ultimate Strategy for Farming Assessor & Vaporizers in ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders Flashpoint update is now live, bringing significant changes and many new features. Today, we'll focus on the newly added Close Scrutiny.
This guide will show you how to find Assessor and defeat Vaporizers to obtain rich loot, hoping to provide a better gaming experience.
Close Scrutiny meaningClose Scrutiny is a brand new map condition in ARC Raiders Flashpoint update, and it's perhaps the most challenging map condition to date. A giant ARC called Assessor and a new flying ARC called Vaporizers appear on the map, ensuring that every mistake will cost you.
Assessor doesn't directly attack the player, but its appearance triggers an unprecedented density of ARC patrols throughout the area. Locked doors will become ineffective, the loot drop rate for regular chests and civilian hotspots will drop significantly, and all reward density will be concentrated around Assessor.
Vaporizers are essentially Queen and Matriarch. Therefore, it's easy to see why Vaporizers are difficult to defeat and extremely annoying.
However, if you're willing to take the challenge, you can obtain a wealth of items, including:
1. Dolabra blueprint (the new energy shotgun) 2. Arc materials 3. Assessor Matrix epic-quality resource (required for High-Gain Antenna project) AssessorNext, let's see how to find Assessor and obtain $1.
Assessor is a large, three-legged landing platform that appears a few minutes after Close Scrutiny mode begins and continues to descend throughout the raid. You'll likely see them fall from the sky, emitting red beams upon landing to help you track their location.
Quickly approach Assessor; you'll find three containers. You can follow the path upwards, open them, and loot them. If platform hasn't unfolded yet, you'll need to wait for it to unfold before you can open it.
Intruding into Assessor will trigger an alarm, alerting nearby ARCs and spawning more enemies, including Vaporizers. Other players will also hear the alarm and know you're trying to collect items.
Assessor is heavily guarded, so you can choose to approach stealthily or confront it head-on. Here are some methods I recommend to help you loot:
1. Use Photoelectric Cloak for infiltration and extraction. 2. Throw smoke grenades while breaching containers to avoid being tracked by ARCs. 3. Bring friends and powerful gear, such as Hullcrackers and Wolfpacks, to kill Vaporizers and other spawned ARCs. VaporizersVaporizers are a bit tough, but not impossible to deal with. Below are three ways to deal with these ARCs.
First, you can choose to bring Renegade, Anvil, or Wolfpacks, because there's no easy way to defeat them. You can't expect to kill them instantly by throwing a Grenade, since they have a shield like Matriarch. After you throw a Grenade, they will immediately deploy their shield.
Vaporizers have two thrusters on each side of their front and two on each side of their back, for a total of eight thrusters. Your most important task is to focus your firepower on these thrusters.
Vaporizers not only have shields similar to Matriarch, but their attack method is also similar to her laser attack. Vaporizer's attack lasts for five or six seconds. If you are exposed to its attack range during this time, you're basically done for, as its damage is extremely high.
RenegadeIt takes about four, or five bullets from Renegade to take down one thruster. There are thrusters in every corner of ARC, which you need to destroy one by one. After destroying two thrusters, it will get stuck and start making strange movements.
After destroying two thrusters on each side, it will either fall to the ground or fly up in a very strange way, likely dying after a few falls, making it easy to take down. This process takes about 20-30 bullets.
AnvilThe most important thing when dealing with Vaporizers is to have cover; you can't fight them in open areas. Shoot it with Anvil; a shield will rise around ARC. After it disappears, continue attacking with Anvil. Anvil deals slightly more damage than Renegade, although its rate of fire is slightly slower, allowing you to destroy thrusters faster with fewer bullets.
It takes about three or four shots from Anvil to take down a Thruster. As mentioned before, after taking down two, Vaporizers will start making strange movements, flying around. This is your chance to attack and eliminate them.
WolfpacksNext, we'll explain how to use Wolfpacks to defeat Vaporizers and obtain rewards. To effectively utilize Wolfpacks, we need to maintain a certain distance from Vaporizers, approximately 100 meters, as Wolfpacks' maximum aiming radius is 100 meters.
It's recommended that you first attack ARC with Seeker Grenades. You'll see its shield appear. Then wait about 10-15 seconds before throwing Wolfpacks. Remember, you must wait for the shield to disappear before using Wolfpacks, as the shield needs to recharge, and this is the best opportunity.
This concludes the article on ARC Raiders Close Scrutiny. If you have any better methods, please feel free to add them.
