Are You Ready For FFXIV’s New Raid Series Echoes Of Vana’diel? - Tips For Playing The First Part
After the launch of the new expansion Dawntrail in July, FFXIV has clearly made a new wave of MMO game enthusiasm. Although the popularity of FFXIV Dawntrail has declined because of the launch of new seasons or new DLCs in many games on the market later, the recent updates have undoubtedly given it new vitality.
In the latest 7.1 Crossroads update, besides some relatively fragmented gameplay updates, the most eye-catching new content added by Final Fantasy 14 for Dawntrail is the new raid activities.
These raid activities are usually large in content and complex in mechanism. Players need to team up and fight as multiplayer teams to complete them. It is precisely because these activities are difficult that the rewards they offer are very generous. Even if you don’t contribute much to the team, you can still get a considerable amount of FFXIV Gil.
In the alliance raid, Echoes of Vana’diel added after this update, if players want to play it in a team, they need to meet fixed conditions to unlock them before they can start playing. So this time we will introduce the specific method of playing this raid.
How To Unlock Jeuno: The First Walk?
Jeuno: The First Walk is actually the first part of Dawntrail Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance raid, which was added to the game after this update. It is said that the second and third parts will be added in the new update.
In Jeuno: The First Walk, the participating players will be divided into three groups of eight people each. However, before entering Echoes of Vana’diel, players must complete some tasks to unlock this first part of it in order to fully experience the entire event.
First, you need to reach level 100 in any war or magician class and complete Dawntrail MSQ, and your item level needs to reach 695. After meeting these conditions, you have a ticket to enter the new raid, but before that, you still need to go to Tuliyollal.
Once you reach Aetheryte of Tuliyollal, you’ll find a Hoobigo Messenger near the coordinates (13, 11.5) giving you a quest called An Otherworldly Encounter. Hoobigo Messenger will then ask you to go to Mamook and talk to Miilal Ja, so that’s your next destination.
Miilal Ja is located west of Mamook Aetheryte, and once you find her, she’ll tell you that she and her companions have found a strange Elezen who keeps blabbering about something they don’t understand, so Miilal Ja wants you to help them figure out what Elezen is talking about.
Elezen doesn’t remember his name, or how he was found by Mamook. But rather than trying to understand him, you should first find Bakool Ja Ja and talk to him. After that, you only have to go through a few more cutscenes and dialogues before you’ll be notified that Jeuno: The First Walk is available. That’s actually the name of the first part of Echoes of Vana’diel.
After completing Jeuno: The First Walk raid, you will continue to advance the story of Echoes of Vana’diel and unlock all the rewards you can get.
What Does Echoes Of Vana’diel Raid Bring To Players?
Prior to the release of Patch 7.2, loot in Jeuno: The First Walk raid was limited. You could only pick up one piece of equipment in the event each week, and it reset time coincided with the weekly reset time.
Currently, all loot available in this raid includes items such as armor sets and the tattered sheet music. The armor set is also known as Ark Angel armor.
If you get the tattered sheet music from the treasure chest and the dice roll is lucky, you can trade it with specific Goblin NPCs in Lower Jeuno to exchange it for Echoes of Vana’diel orchestrion rolls, a Nano Lord minion, and a Nano Lord Triple Triad card. It is worth noting that there is no limit to the drop of the tattered sheet music.
Additionally, when you complete Aglaia once a week in Echoes of Vana’diel, you’ll also receive Ordelle Coins. You can exchange them for Surgelight Twine and Surgelight Glaze to augment your Quetzalli tomestone gear. Just find Uah’shepya in Solution Nine and trade with her with Ordelle Coins. Or you can trade the rope and glaze you get to Hhihwi. He’s also an NPC vendor.
In the future, if FF14 continues to follow the previous expansion plan, we expect Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance raid series to have two more raids. One may be launched with patch 7.3 and the other may be launched with patch 7.5. But no matter when the latter raid activities are launched, you should try to complete the first part, Jeuno: The First Walk. This will not only help you accumulate game materials but also prepare for the new activities.
If you have figured out how to play Jeuno: The First Walk in Echoes of Vana’diel series through our introduction, then log in and start your new adventure! Have fun!
