How To Defeat The Ultimate Boss In Elden Ring DLC? - Promised Consort Radahn Guide
As the game progresses to the end, I believe many people want to know who the ultimate boss in Elden Ring is and how to defeat it.
The game expansion - Shadow Of The Erdtree, may be counted as the largest FromSoftware expansion, with 83 bosses and 10 new Remembrance Bosses being involved. The background of the game refers to the story of Miquella.
Now we turn our attention back to the final boss of Elden Ring. This article will detail the identity, location of the last boss and the way to deal with it, which are also the primary concerns of players.
The Identity Of Final Boss
The final boss in Elden Ring refers to Promised Consort Radahn, and the last major region, Enir-Ilim serves as its main settle place. Since he will join the ranks of the former general in the second phase of the battle, players must attack him and Miquella at the same time. As for the reason, please continue to read below.
As for Miquella’s identity, he is the reincarnation form of General Radahn within the remains of Lord Mohg. Everyone should remember the boss Starscourge Radahn. Players must defeat this boss during Radahn festival to go to Eternal City of Nokron and continue to complete the quest line of his sister Ranni.
Mastering the legends and background of Elden Ring can help players better understand the relationship and connection between bosses.
Miquella has always wanted to become the spouse of Promised Consort Radahn. Just like the name of this boss. To this end, she carefully planned a ceremony, hoping to help Promised Consort Radahn revive through Mohg’s Demi-god remains.
After resurrection, Promised Consort Radahn has more powerful power than before, becoming the final boss in Elden Ring, and perhaps the most tough boss to deal with.
He has a combination of Gravity and Bloodflame attacks with dual Greatswords. In the second stage of the game, once Promised Consort Radahn’s health drops below 65%, he will combine with Miquella to form Radahn, Consort of Miquella. And cause Holy AOEs attacks, which players often cannot avoid.
The Way To Get To Promised Consort Radahn
Rauh region is divided into a lower and upper part separately. Church of the Bud is located in upper area.
As mentioned earlier, Promised Consort Radahn is settled at Divine Gatefront Staircase Site Of Grace in Enir-Ilim. This is the shadow-surrounded area beyond Belurat, Tower Settlement and players are demanded to accomplish a unique ritual to reach.
You need to burn Sealing Tree to ashes with Messmer’s Fire, then Enir-Ilim could be approached to. Here lies the specific steps you need to abide by;
- Defeat Messmer in Scadu Altus.
- Head to Ancient Ruins of Rauh. (Head from the first floor of Specimen Storehouse to West Rampart, and Living Jar hall and Salza, Fire Knight Sage would be passed by).
- Slaying Romina, Saint of the Bud at Church Of The Bud.
- Employ Messmer’s fire on the tree beyond the church.
- Be transported to Enir-Ilim in a second.
- Make your way through Enir-Ilim legacy dungeon.
- Arrive at Divine Gatefront Staircase.
- Face Promised Consort Radahn.
Depending on the choices made by the players in their respective quest lines, the person who can be summoned in the final battle is Ansbach or Thiollier. One thing to note here is that after burning Sealing Tree at the Church of the Bud, you will not be allowed to participate in some NPC’s questlines and they will be erased from the map.
Boss Fight With Promised Consort Radahn
As the ultimate boss, you can imagine how powerful it is. No matter what kind of build you plan to use, defeating Promised Consort Radahn is a tricky thing, and preparing some Elden Ring Runes will be helpful.
But the good news is that Promised Consort Radahn still has some weaknesses. He is highly resistant to almost all status effects and damage types and almost invincible. However, he is not very good at dealing with Pierce, Holy, and Scarlet Rot in his first phase.
In addition to the summons mentioned above, some players have found that using the Hefty Rot Pots to inflict Scarlet Rot to deal with this ultimate boss could be counted as a particularly effective way. Players could find this recipe in Greater Potentate’s Cookbook [9], located in Ancient Ruins of Rauh, just before entering the ruins beyond Ancient Ruins West Site Of Grace.
To deal with Promised Consort Radahn, it is best to get him into his second phase as soon as possible, so that you still have plenty of Crimson Flask Tears and summons.
Once in his second phase, Promised Consort Radahn has almost no weaknesses. It is recommended to take on his AOE attacks rather than avoid them, as you will basically be unable to escape them if you try to sidestep or dodge backwards. On the other hand, make sure all Scadutree fragments are collected, so that you can defeat him.
According to feedback from many players, they concluded that using a shield in combat will block some damage. Using a shield with any Dragoncrest Shield Talismans will increase physical damage negation, and when used with a Pearl Shield Talisman, the latter will level up 20% of non-physical damage negation when guarding.
This is the guide for Promised Consort Radahn, the ultimate boss in Elden Ring. Hopefully, it will be helpful when you reach the end of the game.
