ARC Raiders Season 3 of Trials guide: Play smarter, Not harder
This week I'm bringing you more news. First, ARC Raiders is launching a new week of Trials, starting on March 30th and ending on April 5th.
Just a reminder, the official Trials release time is now Sunday, and will continue weekly. This event is particularly interesting because there are more searchable items, meaning some players will achieve very, very high scores.
Secondly, I'll discuss some current issues players face in the game and make some new predictions for future ARC Raiders content.
New weekly Trials
In this week's Trials, players must scavenge for resources on rooftops and deep in tunnels while fending off the ever-growing Shredder. I'll now explain this week's Trials in detail to help you get started.
The first Trial is Search First Wave husks, which is very simple. Each search of a First Wave husk earns 300 points, doubled to 600 points during the main map event. If you want to get a high score, you might need to go to Dam Battlegrounds to find Electromagnetic Storm. This is currently the case, but it may change in future Flashpoint updates, so please keep an eye out for changes.
Next, let's look at Deal damage to Shredders trial. Simply put, you get points for dealing damage to Shredders. This trial isn't anything special, but it will appear in Tuesday's Flashpoint update. I suggest waiting until Tuesday's update to try it, because Shredders will be roaming more areas of the map then, along with flying ARC, allowing you to deal damage to more ARC.
Meanwhile, you can choose to eliminate Rocketeers in Blue Gate Map, as Rocketeers may score higher than any other enemy. They appear in pairs and have more spawn points on Blue Gate Map.
Next, we'll scavenge for supplies in the tunnels. You can enter directly from the regular Blue Gate passage without waiting for the tunnel to fully open. Some players go naked into the tunnels without any ARC Raiders Items, looting everything they can.
While this method has been criticized by other players, it's undeniably clever. All you have to do is go down and collect as many containers as possible, even if they've already been opened; you can still get points from them. Then, you can loot Loot Bird's Nests, again getting points even if others have already looted them.
This usually means a high maximum score for this Trial, as there's a lot of loot, and many loot hideouts.
Therefore, to get a relatively good score this week, you don't need to focus on killing specific ARC, but rather on easier, more rewarding missions. Of course, you also need to be wary of ARC and Shredders.
New ARC confirmed
We've been speculating that Shredders aren't the only content in Flashpoint update; there will also be new ARC. This speculation was confirmed in a recent official trailer; a new ARC threat has indeed appeared, exactly as we suspected. Many are eagerly anticipating what it will ultimately look like after the update!
Player team matchmaking issues
Recently, players have encountered some issues in matchmaking mode. If you have a regular team and play together regularly, the problems might not be as severe. However, if you choose to matchmaking in a team, you might encounter some trouble from the start. First, few people carry powerful weapons in matchmaking mode, as others can easily eliminate you. Second, some players maliciously ruin the game experience for others in ARC Raiders.
I strongly recommend trying solo mode. Your chances of winning are likely to be much higher in this mode. The current matchmaking situation is truly terrible. I've seen many video clips of people using poison gas or fire attacks to kill other players they've matched with, which is absolutely unacceptable.
I don't know why some people do this, or why they can do it, but this happens quite frequently. There are discussions about this all over Reddit now, and hopefully, the developers will find a way to stop this from happening.
ARC Raiders has now reached a stable player base, with core players currently numbering between 100,000 and 150,000. I don't think this number will drop further, but it also shouldn't rise any higher. The developers should pay more attention to the issues occurring in the game and provide a better player experience.
New information
Finally, let's talk about the latest news. ARC Raiders may release three new skins and an Orbital Strikes mission. The three new skins were detailed in a previous Flashpoint update article, so I won't go into detail here.
Orbital Strikes mission is still in the speculation stage, but it's likely that Stella Montis will host a power outage-themed event. The facility's generator will malfunction, and lights and doors throughout Stella Montis will randomly stop working.
Closed doors will need to be forced open and won't close again until power is restored. Distribution boxes and other electronic maintenance panels will randomly fire ARC like Storms lightning. Some rooms will periodically become inaccessible due to unstable electrical explosions, among other things. These ideas are quite ingenious, but how they will be implemented remains to be seen and will depend on future official announcements.
This concludes the latest information about ARC Raiders. We will update this article as soon as any further news emerges. We hope this helps you better understand the game content and any issues that have arisen.
