ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update not only brings new ARC threats and maps for players to explore, but also adds Amplified weapons to further enhance character power. The battlefield is now undeniably more chaotic with the addition of new gear.
However, before crafting these new Amplified gear items, make sure your Gunsmith bench is upgraded to level 4. The materials required to upgrade this bench include:
- 3 × Radial Press
- 3 × Magnetic Accelerator
- 1 × Emperor Modulator
And the most crucial material in upgrading this bench is Emperor Modulator.

If you're currently struggling to experience the new Amplified weapons because you haven't reached Gunsmith 4, then this guide is for you. Here, we'll reveal how to quickly farm ARC Raiders Emperor Modulator in the game and effortlessly upgrade your bench!
To obtain Emperor Modulator in ARC Raiders, you must enter The Emperor dungeon on Pendola Pass map and loot its destructible containers.
Crafting the Emperor Key
First, you need to obtain Emperor Gateway Conduit blueprint to craft the key to open The Emperor portal on Pendola Pass map.
During Pendola Pass Redirection event, you have the opportunity to loot this blueprint and three key materials by killing Arc Couriers or other enemies:
- Arc Conductive Coupler
- Arc Insulated Coupler
- Arc Plated Coupler
To find these materials, you need to activate one of Damaged Emperor Relays on the map during Redirection event, pick up its beacon, place it in an open area, and back off; it will then be airdropped.

However, to activate Damaged Emperor Relays, you can refer to the following steps:
- Check the Map Condition—After queuing to enter Pendola Pass, wait for a mechanical buzzing or groaning sound to appear on the map.
- Locate the Active Relay—After the game starts, look for the Damaged Emperor Relays icon on the map or launch a red laser/beam into the sky.
- Search the Relay—You can only obtain the Emperor Beacon by finding an interactive container in the active relay station.
- Deploy the Beacon—Please choose a wide outdoor scene.
- Survive the Drop—For your safety, back away to avoid some falling debris.
- Look the Payload—Finally, find Emperor Gateway Conduit and purple ARC couplers among the falling debris.
This will give you a chance to obtain any one of the materials. After collecting all three materials, you can use Emperor Gateway Conduit blueprint at Workbench 1 to craft the Emperor's Key.
What preparations are needed to enter The Emperor?
Once you have the key, you can consider bringing some important equipment into Dungeon to help you successfully complete The Emperor's exploration. You can refer to the following ARC Raiders items:
- Snap Hook—Key to solving platforming puzzles; it's recommended to bring two just in case, as they will be crucial later.
- Anvil or Renegade—Essential weapons for easily destroying the yellow nodes that require solving puzzles.
- Plenty of healing and shield rechargers—Needed for any perilous adventure, these help you recover health.
- Hullcracker—Can destroy Hydra turrets in The Emperor. Unlike a Rascal, it won't slow you down.
- A Looting augment—Can store collected supplies and carry a harness for valuables.
These items are key to helping you eliminate threats in The Emperor and successfully obtain loot. Along the way, you can scavenge augmentations, but be aware that they will explode shortly afterward.
If other players have already unlocked the entrance to The Emperor and the door is unlocked, you can proceed along the main path and explore the first room. There will certainly be many dangers, which is where the key items mentioned above will play a crucial role.
You can also choose to find a side door to enter an entrance that other players have unlocked. A Hornet Driver is key to opening the side door; be careful of defensive traps inside.
Before Entering The Emperor
The Emperor is at the top of the elevator. Although the dungeon layout is varied, everything remains the same until you reach the top of the elevator.
To reach the top of the elevator, follow these steps:
- Defeat or bypass Hydra: It will take approximately 8 shots to kill it.
- Disable the elevator electricity: The four yellow nodes in the center and the four yellow buttons on the outside need to be destroyed with a weapon, requiring approximately 7 shots per button on average.
- Mount the elevator: The elevator will appear after the power is turned off.
- Ride to the top: Be careful not to get stuck in gaps or the ceiling while jumping.
The Emperor layout
The Emperor layout one
1. Pillar Room: The yellow nodes on the pillars you see as you slide down the ladder are key; destroying them will lower the pillars, allowing you to climb to the next area.
2. Crusher: After entering a walled-off space, wait for the exit to appear, then run to the end, turn left, and wait for the wall to close again before using the platform to pass through. Be aware that poisonous gas will appear and reduce your stamina.
3. Hydra Room: This section requires the use of a Snap Hook and a Hullcracker. Use Snap Hook to climb to the top left corner of the room and use the Hullcracker to destroy the Hydra aiming at you.
The Emperor layout two
1. Container Room: This room contains many container and harvester payload racks. Use Snap Hook to reach the top and then climb up using the containers.
2. Laser Tunnel: This tunnel is dangerous and dangerous. Prioritize your safety. Crouching in the center of the tunnel and hiding behind a circular tunnel can help you pass safely. Medical supplies are crucial here.
3. Hydra Room: Jump from above to the boxes in front to kill the first Hydra. Before the next two Hydras approach, use the Snap Hook to hook onto the door on the left.
Regardless of the layout, the Hydra room remains largely unchanged.
Descending through the pipes leads to a maze filled with pillars. You can use Snap Hooks and the pipes to climb ladders. Electrified boxes are dangerous; avoid touching them while climbing.
Upon reaching the final room, many Arc Enemies will appear. Fighting them head-on is not a wise solution. The most efficient and less stressful approach is to observe their movements from the side and loot after they have completely dispersed. The yellow nodes on the side walls also play a crucial role; destroying them will yield our initial objective: Emperor Modulator.
After The Emperor ends, you can leave through either the main door or the side door, but the side door requires destroying the yellow nodes. So don't rush to collect items; surviving and successfully escaping with your loot is the key!
